Going with 2 butts are better than 1

First time smoking some butts. Started 6am this morning. Did dizzy dust rub with some dr pepper in the drip pan (don't know why, saw on pit masters & read some try putting cola in). Going with 2 7lbs Boston butt pork shoulders from market street, do have the bone in. First pic has a lot smoke but you can see the butts and plan on adding more pics.   • After reading how cen tex & others have done. I decided to go with 275.
  • Came out better than ever hoped. Super moist pork, and loved it. Made 2 kinds of BBQ sauce, one was a thin & spicy & the other was a dr pepper based sauce that all the neighbors loved. Funny they keep coming around more when they smell the egg smoking. Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
