Had a prime rib roast to cook and ran low on lump on Canada Day :pinch:
Plan 2, was cut a couple of steaks and hot tub.Using what lump was left from our last cook, the Egg didn't let me down

Your last photo says it all! ;) Don't recall who first posted about hot tubbing, but it's the way to go, for sure.

    Good job Shane

  • Probably a silly question, what does "Hot Tubbing" do to the meat?

The idea behind hot rubbing is to partially cook (or at least warm up) the inside of the meat, so that it will be cooked after searing the outsides, and not raw in the middle.

Shane, you forgot to leave a little on the bone for the dogs, shame on you.

You were using your noggin to get the most out your lump. The steaks look delicious! :)
