Well not only do you just need a firebox "section" should you get a crack, but there is NO fire ring at all TO crack. Has to reduce warrantee claims considerably I would think.3 · -

I wouldn't cook anything. Get it lit, and play with the vents to get an idea how it works and where you need to be for different temps. That's the advice I got sometime back and it saved me…1 · -
