I have a JR too. I love it! I did upgrade to a hicue grate. On the top vent, it is powder coated steel not bare CI. Big difference! Once you get that vent good and junked up, it will seal airtight.2 · -

What about a cheap heatgun? Should work just as well. Another little known fact about heatguns, you will extend the life of the hearing element by running the fan/no heat until it cools down.1 · -
