My recommendation is to contact BGE and get the new redesigned dome band. If you have registered your egg - this is a warranty item. Problem 100% fixed. **Edit, just took another look @ your pictures…

@lkapigian - we went turkey over sausage, dunno why, should have ordered it too. @Legume - saw a review that said it was a Tx classic that went perfect with Franklin bbq, it was excellent.

Our initial plan was 4am .. but after talking to a few guys here, that was way too early. We got to Franklin's just a touch after 6am .. and scored a prime spot in line.
