No liquids are necessary, just make sure you use something to raise the drip pan off the platesetter to prevent the drippings from burning. I just use tin foil balls.1 · -

No it won't, but if you're building it out of wood, I'd get a table nest so you have an air gap between your egg and table. Good luck and show pics when you're done.2 · -
