Doesn't sound like it would be up your alley, but might try the lighter liquors. Summer is perfect for them. My favorites are Tito's vodka or Bombay Sapphire gin.....either with tonic.1 · -

I would go with 16" depth from top of shelf to tabletop. This will give you 1/2" to 3/4" hinge clearance on top with the table nest.2 · -
