I did the duck on the grid over a drip pan. Trimmed the fat per LS' comment. I used a trussing needle to pierce the skin. Here's a pic probably about an hour or so into the cook.1 · -

+1 on versatility and temp control but I also think moisture retention is better on the Egg. I've had a Weber kettle for almost 30yrs (I think I'm on my third or fourth now) and I still use it a lot.…1 · -
