My parents visited a few weeks ago and I was able to show them the wonder that is the BGE.

Fired up some ribeyes for the first time.

One of the things we always had growing up were pork kabobs. Simple marinade with lemon juice, soy sauce, salt & pepper:

Nice to be able to cook for my parents for once!

I'm pretty sure we had vegetables too but I can't remember for sure. ;)

Thanks for looking!

Looks great!! How'd they like the pork kbobs compared to how they were made growing up?

Carnivores we are all a bunch of carnivores...nice cook :woohoo: :P
  • Growing up my parents used a gas grill. I don't know if that makes a difference but these kabobs seemed a bit saltier than I remember.

I also tried a shrimp recipe recently and it was a bit on the salty side. Not sure if that's because the BGE brings out the flavors more intensely or what.

Regardless everyone was happy with the way things turned out.

The saltiness is from the seasoning, not the egg. There is no salt soy sauce also. As I get older I could care or less for it other that a nice steak on a hot egg.
    Keep on cooking!!

Great looking pork kabobs. I've never cooked them, but I eat them every time I go to Canton, Texas, First Monday Grounds. Gotta get them on my list of future cooks.

Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.
