32 Minute Ribs -- LOTS Better Than I Expected

I saw the tailgating episode where the team cooked the ribs in 36 minutes and then read some posts about it, including comments from Ray Lampe (Dr. BBQ), so I just had to give it a try.
I bought one rack of baby back ribs that weighed 2.1 lbs. I took off the membrane and split it in half, so I could cook on my Small BGE.
I smeared it with a light coat of mustard and then coated both sides with John Henry's. Raspberry Chipotle rub.
I put them on bone side down at about 450, direct, on a raised grate. The grill immediately dropped just below 400. I turned them at 12 minutes, and then left them another 10 minutes with the meat side down.
Here they are at the second turn (22 min total)

I closed the vent a little and left them an additional 10 minutes and then pulled them.

They had a darn good flavor and although they were obviously not fall off the bone, it was not hard to clean the bones pretty well.

I basically just did this just because of the show and the comments, but I gotta tell you - they were pretty darn good!
This wont replace my normal lo-n-slo for ribs, but I sure would not feel bad about going for a shortened cook, if I was pressed for time.

It is also the first time I have done dry ribs and I liked that too.

Great looking ribs...and there is more than one way to skin a cat...or cook a rib.

That's basically the way I've done my last five rib cooks, don't think I'll go back to low and slow for BB's, haven't tried spares yet. -RP
