Turkey Burger for Lunch

Ever since my gallbladder surgery last week I've been craving a juicy hamburger. You know the kind... grease dripping off my chin and both elbows. Well, that sure wouldn't go over well with my new plumbing so we got some ground turkey today and fired up Shirley Small.

Nothing but kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper for seasoning.

Delicious... Much better than I Eggspected for flavor and texture.

Even better, It's not running through me like a goose with the squirts.

For now, Turkey Rules...

I like turkey burgers. Usually add more spices though.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    Michael,

My mom used to use tarragon and they were awseome. Kinda dry but she didn't have an egg.

Glad to hear that things are going well.

I love a fattie made from ground turkey thigh. It's a great way to do a turkey burger.

Haha. Everything my mom cooks is kinda dry! But I never have to worry about trich or salmonella or anything when I'm there.

Love tarragon! Never tried it on turkey, but on chicken and beef, it's great!

  • Had one the other day but I cheated 2/3 ground turkey and 1/3 ground pork and plenty seasoning.

Maybe it would give you 1/3 loosey gooseys

Or maybe the cheese would make things more binding - doubtful

Hi Spring, I pray all is feeling as it should. The turkey burger sounds great. I haven't had one in years, you may have inspired me. :)
