SWMBO informed me that she wants thick cut chops, brined and glazed. I need to get 3 butts on around 6ish for the game tomorrow. Any issues with cooking the chops first on a standard load of charcoal, then after its done, pulling the grate and adding lump to the top of the firebox and getting the butts going?
The egg will be going along for 20 plus hours from the way I see it. Typically the fire burns in a downward fashion, just dont know if adding the fresh lump after the chops finish is the right thing to do.
Thanks for the help guys.

Should not be a problem. If you are concerned about ash buildup you could tap the bottom of your fire grate with your ash tool to get better airflow.
