Best place to buy Nomex or generic nomex gasket?

After doing the research on Naked Whiz and reading far too many threads on gaskets, I've decided to go with Nomex...or a generic if it is truly the same thing. Where is my best place to get this?
I know there are a lot of people that like other materials or claim you don't need a gasket. I can't say as though I'm that passionate to argue about it. I'm just choosing a direction that seems to be fine so I can stop researching it and get back to reading about brisket, pizza and pork butts. That being said, I do have a second question. Is a generic the same material as Nomex?
Thanks in advance. This forum is incredible for learning. I don't post much but I really value having such a great resource at my finger tips.

I wrote the Mothership customer service about my gasket and they are sending me a free hi-temp gasket. Bruce at customer service has been very helpful.

Thanks, I might give that a try. What material is the high temp gasket from BGE? Nomex?
-
Yes, the BGE hi temp gasket is nomex.
-
Nomex is what I have been told.

You could try McMaster-Carr for generic aramid fiber strips. I've never used it so am not endorsing it or them.

I have used the McMaster carr aramid (nomex) on my medium, and it works great. Good price too.

Call BGE, they will send you a new Nomex if you ASK. they should have taken care of the Gasket problem by now, its been going on for years now.
-
I got mine from Mcmaster carr.

I've tried calling BGE and just about every extension goes to voice mail. I left one voice mail and have tried back a few times. Is this typical? Should I just be patient? (obviously tough for me to do)
