Whole beef tenderloin

Good evening...looking for some advice. I bought a whole beef tenderloin last week (it is cryovacced - sp?) I don't really have time to cook before this weekend, and don't want to freeze it either. Will it be okay to leave as is until the weekend. I don't see any date of the plastic.
As busy as my week is, I'll cook it before I freeze it but I'd sure like to hang on until the weekend...

It will be fine as long as you keep it refrigerated

Maybe you could call the store you got it from and tell them when you purchased it. They might be able to tell you what the date should be.
Wouldn't want that meat to go to waste!

This weekend, next weekend or the weekend after that!

Thanks....
I think we have 3 languages in common  -
Thanks for the suggestion...I will definitely have to call...I got it at the Fresh Market. My husband will kill me if I go by there on my way from home work again - I can drive past the place and spend money.

Thanks for responding....it will be enjoyed much more on Saturday evening than any other night this week, that's for sure! Thanks again!

Really? Is that true?
How come supermarket's don't keep their meat on the shelves for that long? Or, maybe they do...
Just wondering. -
because no one would buy it
let me ask you... there's a steak in the case that is bright red, and fresh cut yesterday. it sits next to one that is three weeks old and brown, two weeks past the sell-by date.
which steak would you buy?
i'd buy the old one myself... (in theory) -

I have left them in the fridge for over 2 weeks without a problem. I was a little nervous becuase of the cost. Once sealed they they have a good shelf life; once opened you have about a week. Most beef, from what I have read is up to 3-6 weeks old before it hits the grocery store. Fish and seafood are much different.
