First Cook... Pizza

I got my XL BGE last saturday, that night I decided to do pizza, one cheese and one sausage with jalapeno. We cook alot of pizza at my house, way better tasting, and much more affordable than ordering a pie! All I had was a stone and peel, no platesetter, so I kept the temp low at 550*. soooo much better than out of the oven!
By the way, in this house we don't mind if the pie is not round!

That sure looks good. Congrats on a great first cook with your new BGE!
  • Looks good. Glad to see another not-nearly-round pizza. Mine never are.
  • That looks great! What dough did you use?

    nice lookin pies...

we routinely make rectangle pizzas... works well for those who aren't a fan of the outer crust
    context is important :)
  • PI R Square, Cornbread R Round.  " Bro. Dave Garner."
  • Thanks, the dough is from Fresh&Easy(supermarket) I like to make my own, but I didn't have any yeast, and we had the Fresh and Easy dough in the freezer. Not a bad dough, but home made is better!
