I have a eggnest and cedar egmates for an XL BGE and the vented cover that fits over the egg with the egmates attached. They are about 3 months old. I bought them new with the egg but my dad built me a table so I dont need them anymore.

Is there anyone in chicago that would like to make an offer?

Have fun standing on the sidelines at the soccer game (or what-have-you), not eating scrumptious egged food, not sharing a beer with friendly eggheads, not meeting representatives from the mothership...jealous yet? Have you SEEN the pics in ClayQ's post from yesterday...you're going to miss out!

Sigh, I suppose there's always next year, but as a north-sider, I'm sure you're familiar with that concept.

didn't see clay's post. i wanted to go last year as well and there always seems to be games that are smack dab in the middle. if i can get away for a few hours, i'll swing by. are you in the city as well? there was an eggfest party at carmichael's restaurant(west on monroe st?) two years back. they had a good showing (i remember seeing RRP, Central-IL Egger brothers etc) but for some reason, it hasn't been back.

I live in Aurora, just a few miles from the fest (lucky me). I didn't make the Carmichael's gig in '08. As I recall, the fee at the door was nearly $100, wasn't it?

There was another such fest this summer on the southside, down near Dirty. Just a few people cooking, but I think it was free. I think it was Mother's day weekend, if I recall correctly, and I had family obligations.

There's an event up in Lake Zurich, too, but I don't think it's the standard fest format either. More like a glorified egg demo, like the southside event was.
