I read somewhere to per-shrink the gasket in the oven @ 250 degrees for 20 minutes bump up to 350 for 20 minutes. Does this sound right & do I need to unroll it some?

If thats the nomex then just toss it in the dryer, no need for rutland or cotronics

It is 50 feet of a knock off of the nomex. Going to replace two

This is PART 1 of a 3 part series showing this process.
In this 3 part installment of the Video show “Pickin ‘N Grillin“ presented by Fred’s Music & BBQ Supply Shop in Shillington Pa. …. the SmokinGuitarPlayer (AKA Fred Bernardo) shows us how to install a Nomex, flame retardant gasket kit onto a well used Big Green Egg Ceramic grill. You’ll see the tools and supplies needed as well as how to prepare the grill for the new gasket and how to adjust and “tweak” the seal of the cooker after the new gasket is installed.

I did mine in the oven at 250 for a hour think it just runs a little hotter than a dryer

Thanks everyone!

A 3 part video??? It's a grill gasket not a NASA o ring, I did the mini in less than 15 minutes

I cut my Nomex gasket a couple inches long and draped it on the pizza stone above my platesetter after I was done cooking. BGE was at 350 dome and I just shut it down with the gasket inside. It lost 3/4 inch in length

No argument there Pat I put a nomex on my large in no time as well. I shrunk it in the dryer and sprayed super 77 on the egg and gasket and no problem sense. I did not use the video but, it may be helpful to some. Tim
