Really long day but a blessed on in the end. Worked off graveyards this weekend but couldn't sleep in. Had to take Auron to vet out of town for 2nd set of xrays. As some know he got stepped on by Merry my wifes Walking Horse and injured his radius growth plate. Was afraid it would need surgery but the gap is closing and it is healing nicely. Wife has been having isues but turned out to be nothing but back muscle problems they think.
Time to cook some'en. The raws:

The trick to a stir fry is to have all your raws preped before you start cook'en. Just a 2 inch layer of lump in the bottom of the Medium is all I need.

Cooked the raws as seperates then put all back on with the oyster sause at the end.

Gave both Eggs a good cleaning including the nest and pads. A clean Egg is a happy EGG!

Later getting done than I hoped but worth it.

In an effort to intertain as well as inform I shot this hummer in the Smoke Shack tonight as well as Andy and Auron "bonding".

Beli got room on your XL??

Hey JL!
Beautiful cook my friend. I'm just trying to decide what I am doing in Niagara and I'm up to three dishes that all have cashews. Didn't hear about the new guy's injury but I hope he is OK. Bear needs laser surgery on his eyes and it is going to cost a ton.

Thank-you for taking time to post your great pictures!
Love the food & the animal family

great looking stir fry!!... .what did you do for the sauce?. ..and you are right about having everything prepped and ready to go to keep things moving.. .
i also like doing fried rice in the dirty wok right after pulling the main course. ..rice picks up the flavors of the sauce and leftover bits. .. -
Nice cook Deane! HaHa....noticed the welding gloves. They can come in handy for a wok cook.
How much does Auron weigh now? Keep posting the critter pics.

Looks good. Love the "happy cows".... -
Steve I have been a wreck about this. If the plate didn't repair its self correct it would cause the bone to kick out and grow crooked. As big as he will be and with the work he will have to do his joints would not hold up. Not only the money but the recovery time when he needs training and socialization the most. I sympothize with Bear and you. It was going to cost us another fortune to get his leg fixed. Nice thing is both of us are blessed to have the money to be able to take care of them. What's wrong with Bears eye's?

Max I cheaped out and used store bought Oyster sause. I reduced the shrimp grease/drippings and added them back at the end. By the time I got threw some Minute Rice was all I could manage!!

Becca he was 38.2 lbs at Vet today. Still trying to keep him calm for 2 weeks to let the plates finnish healing but man its a handfull to do so!!

Mmmmmm . . . Veal!!!
Nice looking critters JL. Your place always reminds me of our house when I was growing up . . . animals everywhere.
Glad to hear the pup is mending well, that is very scary. I hope he has learned to stay out from under the bigger animals and to look out for claws on the smaller ones. LOL.
Great looking cook, I may have to invest in a wok someday.

Great looking stir fry, love cashews in the wok.
Sorry to hear about the pup. Hope everything is on the mend. We recently went through the "keeping him quiet"
That is not fun. :(

hey, nothing wrong with those jarred sauces.. ..i use them all the time....good stuff...and when you add back in the juices from the wok its a great combination!! . ...and minute rice works too if you wokked it up with the onion, stuff from the pan, eggs, and soy sauce....good stuff!!

She's a little honey isn't she. Sure wish I had room or I would be keeping her. Her momma and Grandmomma are some nice cows.
-
Ya got to get a wok. I use it for not just stir frys but like my pasta dishes where I need more room than a regular cast iron skellet.
-
JL, nice cook. My wife bought a wok for me last Christmas that I still haven't used. I can't let her see your pics, or she'll be after me to use it. (I've never used one before, so I'd like to watch someone do it in person
).

Hahahaha, those pasta dishes are part of the reason I don't have one. Pasta is to much starch for my diabetes along with potato's, rice, cereals, breads, grains and about a million other things I used to love to eat. Stir fries might get me to eat more veggies and that might be a good thing.
