Frozen salmon filet

Dumb question: Never egged frozen salmon filet on cedar plank before, do I need to cook it differently than fresh? how will it taste?

Let thaw first. If you are in a hurry put in a zip lock in some cool water.

Yes, DP RR, basted with Canadian maple syrup butter. Just worried about the texture and extra 'fishy' smell.

I've done a frozen one but I don't think you will have a problem.

I cook about 350-375 indirect, it usually takes 35-40 min, pull at 135 or when white fat starts bubbling up through the fish. The meat will slide right off the skin when done, nothing better :P :woohoo:

We had planned to go and had reservations but my wife has to have open heart surgery on Tuesday, so we had to cancel out at the last minute. We knew the operation was imminent, but her condition got worse all of a sudden.

Thanks, she will be fine, as I said, we knew this was coming and had planned for late Oct, but it was not to be. We will be up and running before you know it. There will be plenty more fests, and fall in the Ohio valley is pretty nice anyway.
