Doing a comp this weekend and was wondering if the Dizzy Dust will produce a good dark bark on a pork butt or not? Do I need to add anything to it or any other suggestions would be appreciated

Mike,
I use a lot of dizzy dust although I am a swamp venom fan. I generally do a mustard slather. Rub on meat, then mustard, then more rub. I have started using French's sweet with heat.

Howdy Mike
It'll make you a nice bark. This is a picture of our first place pork in Easton, MD. Light coat of salt, then Dizzy Dust. You could use extra sugar for a thicker bark, but IMO it gets too chewy.
Good luck!
Chris
