    Hello Edita, welcome to the board.
    I do my wings direct with a raised grid (felt level) about 300-325 turn them a couple of times, internal of 165-170. then off and into sauce, back on for 4-5 min a side to finish.

    for rub, I am not real picky, I have used many of the commercial rubs, others may not agree but I think the rub will affect the texture more than anything particularly if you are using a buffalo type sauce,. if your not saucing, then rub is much more important.
