It has been a long day of injecting, rubbing, trimming, reading, posting topics, asking questions, questioning myself and I even called RocksBBQ and bothered John about my Stoker...but finally my first brisket (13 pounder) is on the Egg!!! I have a bunch of family coming over for the football game and now all I have to do is watch the tendrils of smoke drift from the top and drink a frosty beverage it was all worth it! I see why people have more than one egg. Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's help and cheers to (hopefully) a great brisket and football Saturday...

Looks Great! Go Blue!
I am also thinking about the Stoker. I have cooked many overnight cooks and haven't had any issues with temp control but always feel like I need to check it. How do you like it so far? -
a few hours in and I am really liking the stoker. Using the Stoker Log is at least allowing me to eliminate one variable (temperature) from smoke, spice, marinade, and all of the other things that come into play. I will only use it for the long slow cooks but it is performing as advertised and I will sleep easy tonight.
