Another AZRP "The Chicken" question

Looking for some suggestions. I am going to make "The Chicken" on Saturday. However, my family likes the skin crispy. Has anyone ever made the recipe as stated but just dipped the chicken? Comments or suggestions appreciated!

The reason I steep it is to get the flavor into the meat. There is no reason you couldn't just dip it, it just would be a different product. A lot of places just dip quickly like Big Bob Gibson's white sauce. Let me know how it turns out. -RP
