What;s cooking for the weekend?

What is everyone doing on this last summer weekend?I am going to a beach cottage for three days and will be smoking 3 pork shoulders (one was just butchered aug 1 so I will see how nice that is.I have a 13lb packer brisket that will be injected w/ a special concoction of Jim Beam,worsh,kitchen Boukuet,some spices and herbs.All this meat will go on tonight at 10 and pulled tomorrow for the feast.I think some abt's will hit the grill as will some fresh hot links from the same pig.Have a great weekend and everyone be safe.

I start back tomorrow on a 4 day shift run. I do, however, have a 12 pound butt on the large right now. If I planned it correct it will be done at 5. My co-workers will be so happy!

I looking at baby back ribs this weekend. If practice makes perfect I should be able to get some descent ribs cooked this weekend.

How's your's coming? I just got up to get ready to go to work and It looks like I nailed my mark on my butt. I have 1.5 hours before I leave and it's setting at 188 and moving bout 3 degrees every twenty minutes. I don't usualy mess with butts over 9 pounds, so I was a little uneasy bout this beauty when I started. Have a great weekend.

I have been remiss at not keeping up with cooking/meditation on my Egg. It's just been so busy lately.

I'm thinking of getting back in the swing this weekend, and "taking" Car Wash Mike's Baby Back Rib Class. I've not done BB's using this technique so I think maybe it's time to give it a try.

I haven't tried that method either. I use the one I use and it turns out great every time. I'm just not one to change without reason. Why mess with something that isn't broken? Who knows, maybe it would go faster and be better right....
I'm doing a but this weekend. That didn't sound good. Got one the other day for 1/2 price and I need to make it or freeze it. I really really really wanted to do ribs, but the wife said "no". Since I already have the butt, she said that is what I am making. I'll start it on Saturday evening. -
