The NE fest is in New Hampshire in late June...and look on the BGE site for local dealers using your zip code as a guide. Good luck.

Welcome. You missed the New England Eggfest in NH, which is held the last weekend in June. Not sure if there is anything else scheduled this year.
In terms of dealers, I've had decent luck with the BBQ Barn in Arlington, MA. They sell other things besides the Egg, but they generally have a decent stock and are nice people.
Where in New England are you? That will help folks pinpoint a dealer near you.

If you're in Eastern Mass then you may want to think about talking to Kirley Masonry http://www.kirleymasonry.com/ Eric usually has a full selection of Eggs and equipment. He stocks lump charcoal all year 'round too.
Bought my Large from him in 1998 and any time I've had a warranty issue it's been taken care of quickly and easily.
Tell us where you are will you, it make it easier for us to help. -
I'm up in Georgetown MA (Essex county) but work in Cambridge so North Shore and So. NH are do-able, but would travel and a couple of hours for a good deal.
Does any warranty replacement (if required) have to go through the dealer of original purchase or any other dealer ok? -
honestly, every dealer i have dealt with has either been ignorant re: the warranty, or has feigned ignorance.
but i have heard thru the distributor that the dealer in Arlignton (Barbecue Barn) is very good. they also get enough shipments regularly that if you need something replaced under warranty they can just "toss it on the next pallet". my understanding is they get a delivery at least once a week. my dealer in wakefield didn't know the protocol, and as it turns out he doesn't get shipments as often.
i haven't been to the BBQ barn, but i need to make a trip to pick up a fire grate and fire ring
ideally, you want the dealer who takes the warranty item you need out of one of his floor models and then hands it to you. those seem to be few and far between though -
Yankee Fireplace located in Middleton Rte 114 has a full line.

i brought a cracked base to this place and they replaced it from stock. dont know how good they are as i had an email and contact at bge for them to talk with if there was a problem. ive bought other parts for my coal stove there since, i think there ok but just the one experience eggwise. its across the border in tax free nh. they do light their egg up there and use it so thats a positive

That's where I first saw one a couple of years back when I bought my pellet stove from them... My weber genesis was about 5 months old then, was not even thinking smokers then...
-
thats where i would go, they had the cracked base off the truck and a new one loaded in the time it took to fill out some return paperwork. i would call around for prices and then go there and wheel and dealfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Was it just for the egg? I was looking for the large, nest with side tables plus a couple of accessories (cover, grid lifter, ash tools, plate setter)... -
That's where I got my large many moons ago. They stopped selling them a year or so after I got mine, but seem to be selling them again. Guy there originally told me it was "an Andover yuppie thing", but I bought it anyway

I've emailed most places within 50 miles for info. We have a couple of pizza stones that we use in the oven, will that work in the BGE too? Eggcessories I'm looking at are the nest w/ side tables, cover, spate setter, ash tool and (grill lifter - searched these forums). Need to see others - no clue. Guess if I use a lot will go for better temp gauge, anything else I'm missing (besides lump)???
Thanks - this is fun.... -
Yes, it was just for the egg.
-
I got this instead of going the plate setter route: http://ceramicgrillstore.com/shop/shop/index.php?productID=243
I also recommend adding their 16" drip pan.
To light the lump: http://www.thebbqguru.com/products/Guru-Golf-Club-5-In-1-BBQ-Tool-%2d-Flame-Spreader.html
To cover it: http://www.the-cover-store.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=CSP06113KH2
Happy shopping

You can find the dates, locations and information about most of the Eggfests, past and present, on the Ceramic Events Calendar and 'Fest Map:

I got word back from one dealer who stated: "The Big Green Egg doesn't allow dealers to run any sales, you have to go by their MSRP. Any dealers that choose not to do that, anything they sell is not under warranty."
Is there any truth to that or is that him spewing FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt)?
