Our New Cooking Toy...

We have refurbished a 6 year old Stumps to handle the PC portions of our competition events for next year. It made its debut at Smokin' on the Water in Lakeport this past weekend. A gravity fed charcoal cooker that I've always liked, perfect for the volume cooking at big events. We feel we have the best of both worlds with the Eggs and the new Stumps.

Almost looks to nice to grill on. That is one nice toy!"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

That's a cool looking smoker Smitty. It almost looks like my roll away tool box. Good luck on your future comps. One more thing, will it be available for veiwing at the store?

SMITTY,
The reno looks great! I am pretty uneducated when it comes to smokers. Is the firebox inside or external?

Very nice, smitty. I've been thinking of adding a stumps or backwoods to my collection for large cooks or comps possibly.

LS,
The charcoal runs in a 10"x10" verticle schute along the side. The bottom of the schute is the firebox, charcoal feeds itself with the simple use of gravity.
Very well insulated box with a range of temps from 200-400 degrees. You can get 18 hours on one schute of fuel (at smoking temps).
My wife's family (40-50) have been frutatrated with the lack of BBQ we provide at summer get togethers...now we have a volume rib machine.-SMITTY

That is the ONLY problem with the Egg.I love em but I can't buy 10-15 Eggs to do the 3-4 HI-Volume cooks I have to do every year. :( ALL THE BEST!!!

Looks really nice, however you cut off the hero looking smoke stack attachment. Good luck out there Smitty. Talk to you soon.

Yes, how could I forget the contributions of Cactus Doug, he machined a polished piece of stainless for an exhaust control. He also made a nice piece of 5/8" stainless for the door logo. Ole Doug does great work.
