Sandwhiches made with loney, roasted jalepenos, homegrown maters and onions. Fantastic.

Those look great! Nothing better than home-grown tomatoes and Texas 1015 onions on a sandwich. Good job!

  • Looks really good ... I never think of 'loney' as something to be smoking for sammies, but it sure looks good!

I used apricot for the smoke (someone cut down and threw away the tree)so I grabed it. Used DP Raging River on half and something homemade in an unmarked container on the other. Yes we both liked it and have already said this will be done again. Tried to keep it at 350 but got up to 400 once when I took care of some stuff. Ok had a beer out front. Took it to 160 degress or so.

Great cook!!! I am a big fan of the loney going way back, but have not tried cooking one. Your posts over the past few days were very informative, and have given me the inspiration to take a run at it!!!!

BIG fan of the smoked loney slathered in the BBQ sauce, with the sweet onions and pickles on the side. Mouth watering now!!! :woohoo:

    Thanks,
