have not done one of my favorite dishes in a while. simple cook with fresh shrimp, as vidalia (kim) would say,,deeeeeelious

That looks great. What kind of rice are you using? It seems like when I make fried rice it gets gummy. Yours looks perfect.

Outrageous, looks delicious indeed and very familiar because we cook our fried rice with diced peas and carrots too. We also add a little sauteed onion, and sometimes crack a couple of eggs into the rice and stir it in before completing the cook. At NiEGGara fest last year I used pulled pork from the freezer instead of shrimp, served with sweet chilli sauce.

trip, took me a while to realize that you have to have a dry rice to have fried rice. i use a rice cooker, get it as dry as i can, then it goes in frig. to dry some more. if the rice is sticky, it will not make good fried rice

we do the same thing,,,,,have to use vidalia onions first and always cook the eggs last, right before the rice goes in. i agree with name, it is always called fried rice
