Spouse and I purchased a Lge BGE for our 20th anniversary. Warmed up to it with some burgers for dinner the first night, then hot dogs for lunch the next day, and this was dinner on our actual anniversary. Teriyaki Shish Kabobs, Grilled Asparagus, Corn on the Cob with Chipolte Butter and Cojita Cheese. For dessert we had Grilled Peaches with Praline Stuffing. (dessert and corn recipes came from BGE cookbook)

I've learned alot here that has helped make this BGE experience more fun, thanks everyone!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    LOL, that's what I thought! :)

Go to your flickr image and click Actions, then View all sizes. Across the top of that image you should see several size alternatives. Pick the largest. Then, right click on the image and copy image location.

Now, back to your post, put the cursor where you want the image, click the green box above your post that says img, then paste the image address and click img again. No spaces.

Below your post, there's a box that says Preview. If you see the pic in preview, it will be in your post.

Posting pics here is a real pain!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Margie welcome to the cult. Nice to get more Texans here
Did you make the Texas Fest in Austin this summer?
Do need to tell you about Plano if you are interested.
    Good looking food you have...
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Mickey, we just got BGE involved this week so I missed the Texas Fest in Austin -- and was when I search the forum for Texas and found out about it. It looks like you were practically in my backyard (we live a stones throw from Lake Travis).

Going to Plano (for any reason) doesn't sound likely for us. But I'm looking forward to another opportunity to bump butts with other cult members.

If we can't see you in Plano we will sure see you at Lake Travis for the Texas Fest next year.
Post pictures as most of us can't read
You will learn much if you follow the forum. Ask any question and you will get an answer very soon, the correct one may come later :P

  • Welcome Margie. Great looking plate of food. Happy Anniversary!

You are going to like it here!
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

The Texas Fest at Lake Travis is an annual event? I am so glad to learn that!

A pic of today's brunch, Baked French Toast w/Pears,Cherries and Walnuts.

You know our first BGE pizza tasted much better than the pic suggests.

Next on the agenda is ABT's, the cookbook says these are a favorite at Egghead gatherings .... so what the heck does ABT stand for?

ABT's is what we cook when trying to think what to cook.
