I've always had to drive a long way or order my DP products online. I don't like driving a long way for anything so it has been a five year mission to talk Dave's Pepper Palace in Old Town Spring (1 mile away) into selling Dizzy Pig products.

They like to offer Texas made products and have stuck by that formula for a long time.

Not long ago I noticed he started selling Bad Byron's Butt Rub. So I renewed my efforts. A few days ago he emailed me to say he was ready to put some DP on the shelves and wanted to know which ones to try first.

So I went down each one trying to give him my take on what meats or fish or vegetables they went well with. I kinda leaned toward which one's the Coop Girls had a fondness for and we eventually settled on five or six flavors.

Spring Hen and I stopped in today and sure 'nuff, there was some DP sit'n on the shelf, along with some brochures and some DP decals. Got me a reload of Raising The Steaks, Raging River, Dizzy Dust and Shakin' the Tree. He's a little pricier than usual but the convenience makes up for it, and it's just a nice place to visit.

If you are fortunate to live near Spring Texas USA you can now get Dizzy Pig at Dave's Pepper Palace in Old Town Spring.

He also has a large selection of hot pepper sauces, really hot pepper sauces and really, really hot pepper sauces. You can try them right there in the store. Be forewarned that he doesn't sell cold beer to soothe the burning palate, so be careful while tasting it.

You're welcome.

It's hard to figure out how to get to your house without violating my "One-Mile Rule" but I almost got the map out when you posted photos of the Mongolian Beef. But then I figured I could just buy some in the frozen food section at Target that looked close enough to keep me within my self imposed circle of fun 'n frolic.

Well, being an "Inner-looper", I'm alway afraid of what lies outside the Loop. I've been told there's Indians running wild out there.

And, I've been told that there isn't a Central Market out there. How can people live in that kind of poverty?

You were just up the road from the Chicken Ranch. But we spent much of the day H.E.B.ing or Naping. Too hot for anything in the sun like some people we know.

A couple of Lake Conroe Egger's bloody mary's should do the trick.
