Used Desert Fillys recipe:
Rum Pound Cake
Recipe By : Kim Price
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time:

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
Ingredients
1 pkg Duncan Hines Golden Butter Deluxe cake mix
1 sm pkg instant vanilla pudding
3/4 cup white rum
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup oil
4 eggs, well beaten
Glaze
1/2 cup white rum
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
Procedure
sheet pan under a flexible mold
1. Grease tube pan. Bake at 350 Indirect for 50-60 minutes. (may take a
little longer.)
2. Rotate about 1/3 turn every 20 minutes.
3. While still in pan pierce with knife or fork several places around the
cake.
4. Let cool for about minutes, then slowly pour glaze over.

looks like a pro did that. ha glad you liked it. It has to be one of the most moistest cakes I've done. Glaze even looks perfect...there's a fine line til it crystalizes. Enjoy....

Wow........Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -
can dark rum be used?

hey JoJo...I'm sure you could...but it would definitely make the yellow cake a different color. Try it and let me know....OH...also the glaze wouldn't be clear.
