Coal question

Hey all, still new to the egg and loving it. I know this may be taboo, but I saw that Publix sells their Greenwise Lump coal for $5.99 (in a bag about 1/2 of the size). Has anyone used this coal and how does it compare to BGE's lump?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Er, you mean CHARcoal?
Here is a link to my review of the Publix charcoal: Publix Greenwise Charcoal You will also find reviews of BGE and Royal Oak (who makes the BGE charcoal) there at the site. Good luck! The Naked Whiz -
yeah, coal might give it a wierd flavor and lots of little black specks all over the food

If you happen to have Kroger in your area their lump is also $5.99 for an 8.8 bag and word on the street is it is Royal Oak.
If you can find Royal Oak from USA at wally world that is also pretty cheap.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
