Did you know it was National Filet Mignon Day?

We discovered today was national filet mignon day ... and by coincidence we had already planned on a friday night cook of filet mignon, grilled zucchini and mashed cauliflower. Full recipe / cooking technique will be posted on www.peppermonkeybbq.com soon.
I smoke the meat first, then sear last. Smoking with sugar maple for something different.
Seared on a very hot CI Skillet for 1 1/2 min per side to finish off the steak.
Zucchini slices over hot coals.
Plated ...... and trust me, it was delicious!
