Looking to buy a meat slicer for bacon, pastrami, etc. Any recommendations? J.

I bought this one from the Home Shopping Network and it does what I need it for-Pastrami, left-over roasts, chicken breast, turkey breast...etc. I bought it from this website because it comes with an extra blade. Had it for a couple ears and works fine. Like with any food slicer, it's not the easiest to clean, but not bad either.

Thanks Boxer. That was the one I was looking at. Have you tried cutting bacon yet?

I've got the same slicer and yes, I've cut some home made bacon on it. It's okay, not the greatest, and you'll find the length of the bacon is about the limit the unit can slice. It'll also leave you a little "off" at the ends.
All in all, for a C-note, it's okay. If you're worried about making a better slice all the way through your bacon/pastrami (all the way to the last little bit), you might look at the next grade up. -
Yes, and it works fine for BBB. I only use it a few times a year. If I used it on a weekly basis, I would up grade. Like Jeffersonian said, there are better, but for the price it cuts just fine.
