This was my Father's Day present and I've used it a dozen time since getting it... onions, peppers, new potatoes, and pork medallions so far...

Love the take off handle and it clean up in the dishwasher...

your welcome... I like "tossing" whatever is in it rather than trying to turn it with a spatula or tongs-- works like a regular chef's pan - only better..has a lid to keep the stuff in

I rather like that. Is it easy to remove/install the handle? Just wondering about setting the basket on the grid, removing the handle, closing dome, re-installing to toss. Or does it fit on a large with the handle still attached?

I see they also have one without a lid. Looks like a fry pan that would let you toss stuff. Cheaper too.

    Thanks for posting!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

The handle is a male/female connection with a spring loaded toggle lever that holds them together... when I put it in my Large- I set it on the grid, squeeze the lever, pull the handle off (won't fit with it on), and close the lid of Egg -- simple.... When I want to remove or toss - left hand on lid handle (with mitt) and right hand slips the handle on... very simple

If I was better at tossing - the lid wouldn't be important :S ... but the lid makes me look like a Pro :woohoo:

Love your post! And, your probably right...

If the smell of burning flesh and intense pain has any affect on your state of mind - being a wuss ain't all bad

I think it was Clint Eastwood who said, "A man's got to know his limits!" ... My burning flesh is IT...

This is OT!! Harry doesn't even mention grilling! Still, Holbrook must've felt otherwise.

How does this differ from the metal pans with the holes ? I would think it would be a bit cheaper.

I guess they both do the same thing. No ?

Can't speak to those pans - as I don't have one to compare....it is light weight, simple to use, and is well made... as said earlier, when the lid snaps in place - you can't "toss" anything out as you shake and flip them....I will say when I slice onions, garlic, peppers, etc... and roast them directly in this pan - they have turned out beautiful and taste great... dropped the Wire Mesh in the dishwasher and came out perfectly clean...
