I've always had a partner, but they ask if we want 1 or 2 eggs, depending on what we are cooking...1 cook, 1 egg

Setup has always been just grab a spot that's open and drop your gear. Squatter's rights prevail.

Problem with that is you get 8-10 people that want to cook in a group and only have 2-3 eggs, then one guy decides he wants to cook something that takes 6 hours...well, you get the idea. A lot of us pre-plan it out who is going to set up with whom and what everyone in the group is going to cook and then try (try being the operative word here) to requisition as many eggs as we need so everyone can cook what they want. It rarely works out and there is always raw food taken away -- but we just torch that at the after parties most of the time.

Good Morning Rodney: Thank you for your Cooks' Registration. There will be two cooks cooking
per EGG, so please plan accordingly. Thank you. See you at EGGtoberfest! Regina Matthews

Last year my husband got up early and went with a group of guys at 5am and set up their eggs in a spot where we were all going to cook. Then they went to breakfast, back to the hotel to get everything together to cook and when we went back to start cooking there were already people that had come and started cooking on the eggs they had went and saved. To avoid that happening, I would suggest having one person that stays after you've grouped your eggs with the people you want to cook with. There definitely weren't enough eggs for the amount of people cooking. Hope it's better this year. Good luck!

The reality is this is a new site with some unkowns. In the past the bge folks just rolled however many large eggs out for the cooks ready to take them to their cook sites. AMS could be completely different.

I know what I am planning on doing, but I could get there and the organizers might have a completely different plan. The key is to be organized and flexible.
