I love shark week also. I'm a certified diver and I have always wanted to go to the Bahamas and swim with the sharks during their feeding. A friend of mine did and he loved it. I'm sure one day I will do it.

I LOVE Shark Week! It used to be a big deal for my oldest son and I to watch it together every year. He grew up and left me, but I still love to watch it :)

you should see it on the real life network B) i have hooked into about 1000 pound makos, no chance to get one of those with the equipment i have, even tossed a fly at a baskin, maybe 2200 to 2500pounds, my best guess. the baskin almost knocked the outboard off the boat, didnt think to raise it as it approached until the last second when he started rubbing his back on the hull. you wouldnt believe how difficult it was to take this pic with a live blue shark, they wrapp around like a snake twisting and flipping around into a pretzel with the sharp end always coming at you  they are fun to catch though, this is the month they come around, not usually that calm this time of year 40 miles out

Come on down, the waters fine! You can find plenty of sharks around here to swim with. During the Tarpon Tournaments is a good time, the sharks like easy pickings. When a 15' hammerhead takes most of your 6' Tarpon in one bite you may want a bigger boat!

  • No matter how many times I see it, I can't get over that big Great White getting herself airborne after striking that seal simulator.

I think the aquarium in Atlanta will let you SCUBA with their Whale Sharks. I hope to do that someday.

Gee it is easier to look at in the desert, try swiming in the pacfic and keep from looking over your shoulder :-) when Jaws came out in the 70's, surfing was at it's best, no one was in the water for months. oh those days were very nice.
