Peach Cobbler

Made the peach cobbler using the recipe "Kathy's Peach Cobbler" in the recipe book that comes with the egg. My wife said it was the best cobbler she has ever had! And it was so easy to do.

I've been thinking about doing a peach cobbler ever since fresh peaches hit the farmers fruit stands...Your picture has pushed me over the edge. Looks fantastic...
-
Can you post the recipe here? Thanks
-
Here goes.
1 cup self rising flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 stick of salted butter
1 large can of sliced peaches (drained) or I guess you can use the same amount of fresh peaches.
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and buttermilk thoroughly to create the batter.
Melt 1 stick of butter in the pan you plan to cook the cobbler in. About a 2 qt casserole dish. Pour the batter on top of the melted butter.
Drain the peaches and spread out across the batter.
With the EGG at 425 and set up for indirect cooking, bake until the top is brown, about 45 minutes.
I apologize if I just violated any copyright laws! :S -
Looks great - thanks for the recipe pointer.

Looks good 8 - ),,,!! Am I getting it right.. the peaches go on top of the batter and it rises through them? Thank you!

That's right, first the butter, then the batter. Don't mix them, just pour the batter in. Then spread the peaches out on top of all of that and the crust will surround the peaches as it cooks.

Got it... Thanks a bunch of peaches!!
-
Thank you! Others I've tried previously didn't work out so well. Your cobbler looks wonderful.

Peach Cobbler is a BGE classic. And it sort of ties in with the Georiga aspect.
