"Momma Mia That's a Spicy Meatball"
So I made some big sized meatballs to cook up on the egg for tonight's spaghetti dinner. Nothing fancy with the meatball recipe, just spices, chopped onion & garlic, egg, parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Used a few chunks of hickory wood for a nice smokey sauce.
Meatballs all ready in the trays.

Added some water to the trays. Egg at 400.

Chopped up the veggies for the sauce. Tomatoes, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, garlic and spinach.

Mixed in the sauce....fresh from the cans.

Meatballs done. The water looks a little gross, I won't add so much next time. Water was discarded.

Meatballs added to the sauce.

After about an hour and a half of cooking at just under 400, they're ready to come out and be added to the pasta.

Sorry no "plated" shots, got too busy to take a pic. But you can imagine that sauce and meatballs resting on a bed of spaghetti.
Thanks for looking!

Jasper that looks so good.. But why the water?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Thanks. I saw meatballs made on a cooking show and they said they used water so the meatballs wouldn't burn on the pan. But they used a convection oven.
