How many butts on the large
Comments
-
kingofcool, I've seen many pictures on here where people put 8 on, I've gotten as many as 6, 3 on the grid & three on a raised grid...
-
Darn, I don't have a raised grid. Wonder if I could fit 4 without it? 3 should be enough though...
-
How many folks you cooking for?
-
King, you can make one for about 10 bucks at home depot, get a webber grid, then 4-4 inch long bolts with washers & nuts for legs, & build it, works great... good luck
-
Yep. That's what I did and it works much better than the one with the folding legs and the fold up cooking grate. I'm always struggling with that one. The homemade one is sturdier and is adjustable for height.

I'll be cooking for about 25 ppl. I could supplement pork my cooking chicken the day of as well.
-
I've done six:

That's about 45 pounds of raw meat using the Adjustable Rig. You can make your own with an extra 18" grid and a few stainless nuts, bolts and washers. -
Three 8 pounders will easily fit on one grate on the large and that'll certainly feed the 25 people. Doing chicken the day of isn't a bad idea either, if nothing else, just to offer a bit of variety.
-
you'll fit 3 no problem. If they are big just stand them on their side, or you may get 4 on one grid that way.
