Pizza Friday....

We had family pizza night last night. I had to use wheat dough on two of the pies because our daughter is pregnant
and can't eat any white bread (flour)????????
The wheat pizza dough actually came out ok....here are some pics..

Kim, you remain the pine-nut King; pies look great, lovin that deep dish, was that done in cast iron? I love the crust, well olive oiled in the CI, kind of almost fries, like pizza hut minus the nastiness. Hope all is well, stay cool today brotha, Marc

Pizza this weekend.....Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -

Pine nut King...I like it...

The deep dish was cooked in a deep dish pan and the recipe calls for shortening to grease the pan. I use Crisco and it does make the crust nice and crispy...stay cool up there...

Good to hear you were happy with the whole wheat. I should have remembered to tell you to use more yeast since the whole wheat acts differently you need more yeast or it comes out a little flat. Sorry, but it has been a long time since I've tinkered with it.
I love you pine nuts idea on pizza...I haven't yet incorporated it into my pizzas but really need to. Every time I've tried yours I love it. -

The pan I bought at a local cook store. The recipe came from combining one recipe from this site with a few others. I use semolina flour instead of cornmeal to get authentic chicago deep dish.
