Places to Eat around Tucker

I am driving North this Wednesday and staying in Tucker [Comfort Suites on Crescent Centre Blvd] so I can visit the Mothership for the first time.
Does anyone have a reccomendation for a good spot to eat in that area??

The Eggtoberfest was until it moved. hehe Just saw on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives last night a place called Mathews Cafeteria. Looked homely and southern.

Frank,

I live about a mile from where you are staying. I wouldn't consider Tucker a dining destination. My home would be about the best and you are more than welcome with one large EGG ready and waiting. If you don't mind an enthusiastic German Shepard Dog! Vodka tonics are mandatory. Drop me an email or chime in here.

Matthews is pretty good, and is a downtown Tucker landmark.
Depending on where you are coming from there are lots of great eateries in the area, not necessarily right IN Tucker.

Thanks, I will be coming up I75 and taking 285 around to exit 37. My motel is on the east side of that interchange and adjacent to Northlake pkwy, which, according to Google Maps, will take me right down to BGE. I am sure there are plenty of places in the area, I just thought someone might have a favorite "Diners,Drive-Ins & Dives" kinda place close by.

Hey Richard, yes, I saw it, looks like a definite possibility. I will have to figure out how close it is to my motel. I am going to be tired from driving all day, so I won't want to travel far. Thanks for the tip

Just a short jaunt down to Buckhead and you have zillions of places, Bones, Dante's Down the Hatch ( I hope they rebuilt years ago after the fire ). Probably a 15-20 minute drive from Tucker against the traffic. Bones will have the best steak and vegetables served in a Restaurant. Not cheap but worth the experience.
