Want to post some picutures in the forum, tried some of the posted directions and pasted the URL into message field. When selecting 'preview', picture does not appear, just URL - is this correct?

Never have seen a pic in a preview, and always kind of hold my breath when I post..lol. Use the IMG. You can always post in OT to test then delete, but at the same time we understand there is a learning curve here.

click the Img button above where you're typing your post, then paste your URL, then click Img again. No spaces. Hope that helps.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    Hi ep

Most people here use Photobucket for a image host so most of the help you get here will be geared toward that site. Other image hosting sites may be a little different.

Where to Start: Tips, Links & Useful Information is a very useful post compiled by Grandpas Grub. You may want to bookmark it for future reference. About the 14th link down the page is a fantastic "how to" for posting photos using Photobucket. I'm not biased but I think this "how to" was very well done! Note that by changing the "IMG" in the code to "img" you will be able to see your photos in preview mode.

Good luck and welcome to the forum,

    Gator

    Hey LC,

When you copy your IMG code to the post editor here on the forum change the IMG to img in the code and you will be able to see your photos in preview mode. Don't want you holding your breath every time you post a photo. :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :S  ;)

The post section will not allow or can't be programed to recognize the upper or mixed case of the IMG code in the opening and or closing of the HTML.

I had difficulty with photobucket from day one, can't really explain why, I'm no computer genius either, finally changed to Flickr, with a help from CarolinaQ I find that program much, much easier to use B) The preview option works also. :)
