Tonight's Kielbasa

Egged up a couple different 'versions' of kielbasa tonight. My wife likes them cut up in slices and kinda 'well done' in a frying pan (with some green peppers) and I like mine grilled. So, what did I do... cooked'em both ways! I started out by grilling mine direct @ 400 and heated up the cast iron skillet for hers. Then I decided to fit another skillet on the grate and added some sour kraut. When my sausage pieces were done, I put them in the kraut and added her slices to blacken with the peppers. Thinking that I may want some onions, I threw a few slices on the grill.
Everything was stellar tonight! Big win for the egg in her eyes. She would like to do this again. Simple cook and really good.

They both look great, my favorite is using it in a low country boil. -RP

Thanks for the ideas about what to cook in a frying pan. I picked up a good sized one in a thrift shop the other day for $4. Is you egg a XL?

Looks really good, and an excellent reason to have two smaller cast iron skillets! *cogs spin as he plans to justify buying more and more CI goodies* haha

I diamond cut my skinless kielbasa and Italian sausage. Then put the rub in the cracks as it grills and it opens up more. Yum yum :P Tim

No, it's a large. Those two were pretty much crammed in there, but it worked. I want to say one was an 8" and the other was a 10", but I'm not entirely sure though. When I grabbed the second one, I thought... I hope this fits.
Looking back at the pic, I think I could get my baby skillet on there too! -
That is it! I am going out and getting some Georgia Boys tonight! This is the greatest signature EVAR!
