OK so I never thought I would be making this on the EGG but I figured might as well, just like an oven right?
Sausage and Pepperoni going down.
Ready to Go On the EGG wow it is Heavy!
Off the EGG resting, Sorry no pics on the EGG, got busy prepping for other small pizzas.
It must have weighed 6 pounds at least, was quite delicious.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks Steve, It was, could have fed the neighborhood though lol. Maybe next time I will use a smaller pan!
-
Oh wow, looks awesome! Where did you get the deep dish pan?
And what pizza dough recipe did you use?
My wife and I cook pizzas on the egg but so far it's just thin-crust margherita and/or pepperoni pizzas. -
Six pounds!! That could've fed me for a week! Looks yummy.
-
Rezen73, I got the Deep Dish Pan from E-Bay for around 14 bucks and I cheated on the Dough, there is a local specialty store that sells it pre-made.
-
Tell me about it, we will ave leftovers for a few days.

Vet,
Temp was 500 and time was approximately 45 minutes, I checked with thermo to make sure sausage was done to temp. -
Thanks Cali,
From San Diego myself what parts you from? -
Oh man, that looks like the real deal. Also looks like the kind of crust that I like...not the cornmeal crust that is popular in some of the deep dish joints here in chi-town. Fantastic, Charger guy.
-
Thanks Ben, I was stationed in Chi-Town for a couplke of years back in the early 90's and I love the pies there. Never really tried one until now but it came pretty close to what I remember. I also have to agree with you on the crust!
