Provides temporary resistance to excess radiant heat and protects the Thermapen from drops to the floor. Snug fitting boot can be removed for cleaning. Tim

for 6 bucks it's worth it, but even though I have both the old style and the new one I prefer using my old style more often since it has the wrist strap since I sometimes have gripping problems. Iffin they ever re-design the Thermapen again they ought to consider bringing back that feature IMHO!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

good point! Surely there is a direct correlation of the age of people who buy a "$100 Thermapen" and those who have arthritis. While the boot may protect the Thermapen in some instances I'm not sure it would as well as a wrist strap which keeps it from being dropped in the first place.

  • Will the boot work on the old style? I have the old style with the strap too (hell, I didn't know it was old!)

Shouldn't you be getting to bed if you're coming to Peoria in the morning? Fed-Ex delivered the Pearls today and Boilermaker Ben is bringing the LaBomba. It's a downstate exchange of a major magnitude!

Gotta wonder how the guys camping out tonight at H & P are doing.

Mix the Bomba with some GOOD homemade chili... add a Pearl! You will NOT be disappointed!
