Steak Fajitas!

Want to cook Fajitas,I usually cook steak at 650F so with Fajitas do I need to cut meat prior to cooking or leave whole, and another Question, If I want to do my veggies and only have one green egg, can I cook them along with the meat cooking process, or do they need to be done seperate at a different temp. Thanks, My first post!

Cook your veggies first at 350 to 400 or so, take them off and cover loosely with foil, crank vents open and cook your steaks whole, slicing thinly after a good 10-15 minute rest.

My feelings exactly! Love me some fajitas. Make sure to keep an I on the meat as it will be very easy to over cook it on a BGE, it is going to go very fast!DavidBBQ since 2010 - Oh my, what I was missing.

I like to do mine whole and then slice them up like this:


You can do the veggies at the same time, especially if you have some sort of griddle plate or a small cast iron pan that will fit on at the same time.

But the short version is I use a strong marinade, grill a flat iron steak at 500f direct 4-5 minutes a side.Knoxville, TN
