Has anyone smoked bluefish?

Any tips/ recipes out there? what kind of wood should i use? Not a big fan of bluefish since it tends to be very oily, but have heard if you smoke it, it's great....and they seem to jump into my boat so why not take advantage

Years ago, preBGE, I used to smoke bluefish all the time in a charcoal, vertical smoker when I lived in the Chesapeake Bay area. I'd be able to catch them in the morning, and smoke them that afternoon. I used different types of wood, and it always came out great! Served with some nice crackers, horseradish sauce, capers, onions, etc. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
