While I was up checking the plumbing I decided to do a little research. Ran across this interesting site: Fast and Delicious Recipes.

Of particular interest is the rib recipes:

Worth a shot.

I think most people here just buy it. I don't remember anyone posting a recipe for it.

  • Love this one:

    Smoky Barbecue Ribs

Use chili sauce that is similar to ketchup, not the hot spicy variety with chile peppers.
In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except ribs.
    Dip each rib into sauce.
    Place coated ribs in cooker.
Pour remaining sauce over ribs in pot.
Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.

Sounds a lot like slow cooked ribs to me  B)

I plan on doing an eggsperiment within the next few weeks involving three different rib cooking methods. One rack will get the low and slow. One rack steamed in the oven and finished on the egg. The last rack cooked in a pressure cooker and finished on the egg. Should have time variations between 5 hours and 1 hour total cooking times. I promise to take pictures and give you my taste testing results.

I (we) will be looking forward to hearing how it went.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking of doing the one I posted earlier that requires 15 minutes prep time and 1 hour cook time. Apparently, it was cooked indirect on a Weber type charcoal grill. I know my Egg cooks better than a Weber under those conditions so it will be interesting to see if those really great reviews are true.

Here's the recipe I plan to use:

    Good luck on yours.

I have not cooked baby backs but, I have cooked spares. I may be different than some folks because I like my ribs "fall off the bone" or close to it and my sauce on the side and maybe not any. I am curious to hear how the recipe you are going to try turns out. Tim :)
