Did the QBruddah/Weber recipe for Mango Pork Kabobs, added some sweet peppers. I made one with pork and one with shrimp. B) Had some sliced pinapple on hand so I put a little DP Pinapple head on some of that, also a couple of small pcs of tuna someone had given me to try. :P
I tried my best to prep the mango in the shower, but it just wouldn't work, had to break out the OXO Sp%&tt#r to do the job :woohoo:

It was delicious and I have enough in the fridge to make another meal :)

Skipper, looks good and glad you enjoyed it. I want to try pineapple and DP Pineapple Head.

    Thanks Bruddah
I got that e-mail recipe from Weber same as you. Made their sauce but used DP stuff for the rubs. We get these little sweet peppers at the Publix stores down here. They add some flavor with just a little heat :)

The pinapple is really good with just a little DP PH rub on it but if you really want to be decadent sprinkle some brown sugar on top :P

I am all over the decadence angle. I would like to find DP locally without getting gouged but I am still looking. I am convinced that the heart of this recipe is in the glaze and the rub could be a revolving choice to adjust the taste incrementally. It certainly saves time to reach for something off the shelf and shake-a shake-a.

I spent six years in the Coast Guard as a quartermaster and another two with NOAA doing hydrographic research in Alaska. From the meet and greet it sounded like you had earned the Skipper title, hope you don't mind.

    Thanks, I don't mind at all :)

DP is always looking for dealers. My local Egg store did not carry their products. I was ordering direct/online. I sent them my dealers name, they sent a sample kit, and as they say, the rest is history. I no longer have to pay the freight. :)
Gail and all the folks at DP are super people.

I agree with you on the glaze thing. I used three different rubs last night, Dizzy Dust on the Pork, Shakin'the Tree, on Shrimp, and Pinapple Head on the pinapple, all good :P

Frank if you don't mind me asking what do you pay for your DP. Nearby dealer charging 15.99 a bottle. Local butcher 13.99 but only has two flavors.

I'm not sure, I think $9.99? I was told by my dealer that DP had raised their prices and the next time I bought it would be higher. This is a month or six weeks ago.
